All of us dread the day in our fitness camps when we are asked to step up on the weight machine and when the needle moves we prefer not to hear that dreaded number i.e. our weight. Over the years we have built for ourselves a separate culture where all of us need our private space. Most of us don’t feel comfortable when quizzed about our weight or some issues which we just prefer to keep within the four walls.

More often than not we find that the boot camp fitness programs, fat camps, summer fitness camps and various other fitness vacations as just a temporary period where we don’t gain weight. At most times the fitness resorts are not to blame, it is more of an attitude problem with us, where we see these fitness camps as a boring chore to do and just want to finish it for the sake of the fee we have paid.

So now what is the need of the hour are fitness programs that all of us wish to take part in, while some may feel that some of the boot camp training are interesting some may also vote against it. So it is better if entertainment and fitness are combined, as you rarely see people who do not want to play. There are some people who are not interested in any of the games involving physical activity but almost all are interested in playing video games.

These video games can be considered as the perfect fitness routines. There are a variety of game consoles in the market like the x box, Wii console and so on. The Wii remote is now a rage among all where the user is bound to do some kind of physical activity as its virtual gaming where the player on screen performs similar actions you do in reality.

Even other leading gaming companies are now coming up with fitness programs which can be worked out. There are a lot of advantages when one does these kinds of workouts; they are games so its human tendency that we are always more inclined to perform some entertainment related activity. It’s also just a onetime payment; you need not keep paying every summer like in summer fitness camps. Since you have bought the product you have the luxury of doing your workouts at any time you want. In this kind of workout one also gets more independent and focused upon improving his fitness level.

There have also been researches on this kind of virtual workouts and the researchers have found out that the people on watching their avatars worked out and the people who watched their avatars sitting idle in the virtual room where not so much inclined to workout. This was just a research, so imagine if it happens every day. Those who are interested in gaming can take this option of having a diet program and taking up playing video games involving physical activity rather than any kind of weight loss boot camps.
