When Vacations Become a Summer Retreat

The Biggest Loser
Are you planning to enjoy a little Rest & Relaxation this summer taking a break from everyday life? But, when you think of "relax", do words like unwind, chill, take it easy, slow down, or put your feet up come to mind? Although taking time to relax is a necessary part of a healthy lifestyle, summer's slower pace can often lead to a summer retreat of our weight loss.

Do you ever find that when relaxing from everyday stress that you tend to relax from your healthy lifestyle as well and may be just a little concerned of history repeating itself? Here are some easy, very specific ways that you can prepare yourself and change the paradigm:

Drink Wisely -Drinking more water and less alcohol can save you precious calories. If you would like a cocktail try a spritzer.

Buffets - When faced with a buffet, remove the thought of having to get your monies worth. You're paying for quality not quantity so chose wisely.

Moving More - is simply being more active, whether it's planting that garden you've been putting off or discovering some of natures' trails.

Sharing - Sharing is caring, about yourself. Splitting the appetizer, entree or dessert can save you a lot of calories and guilt Next time you're out to eat split the dinner not the check.

Be Assertive - Tell people what you need and want. We have no problem telling a waiter or hostess that we're allergic to something or have some condition that would be adverse to our health. Well I'm allergic to fat and having too much of it was starting to kill me.

This summer monitor yourself. If you like playing golf and find yourself enjoying the 19th hole more than the previous 18 you might be going off course. Cruises don't have to be a shipwreck. Take advantage of the amenities, services and excursions. And remember, thoughts are things. How you think, act and feel materializes itself. If you think you can't you won't. If you're acting like a pig you are more than likely eating like one and if you feel you're fat well... what are you going to do about it? Action equals results. Henry Ford once said "whether you think you can or can't, you are right both ways".

Great vacations don't just happen they're planned and you should plan your vacation around your new healthy lifestyle, not the old one. The other day someone said to me "that if they had a Personal Chef, Trainer and it was all about them 24/7 like on the TV show The Biggest Loser then they could lose weight like that too". Well, here's your chance. Whether you'll be sailing the seven seas or on land enjoying a five star resort this is your opportunity, for the next 24/7 it's all about you, no commitments, no responsibilities. On vacation you'll have a Personal Chef that will cook you anything the way you like it and access to exercise equipment for that "last chance work out". So, when you come back, don't tell me you gained weight!

Vacations don't have to be another summer retreat of your weight loss. Plan, prepare and pack for an exciting season of fun in the sun wearing that hot bathing suit you've always dreamed of.

Have a Great and Successful Week,

-Steve

-Steve

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Stephen_Parzuchowski ">Are you planning to enjoy a little Rest & Relaxation this summer taking a break from everyday life?
